What a trooper Sarah is! She texted me to report that she had just been the interpreter and translated the scolding from a Chilean Carabinero/Police officer as he chewed Jerry out, via Sarah taking the verbal heat for him driving 40 kilometers faster than the posted 100 limit! She said,....
When the police officer approached the car, Jerry told everyone just to plead innocent and speak English. But as they started yelling and wanting to take Jerry's driver's license away, Sarah, luckily came to his/their rescue and simply explained that they are foreigners and family, but don't live here and don't know the rules. He asked her where she lived, and she told them she now lives in Santiago, but they are only going to Pucon for 3 days and then flying back to the USA this coming weekend. I think they were relieved that they were leaving the country!
Sarah saves the day for them all!!!!
Bien hecho, Sarita!
